The saddle pad (of Hungarian csábrák, Turkish çaprak ) is a saddle blanket that is especially on festive occasions and trail rides use. Meanwhile, the saddle pad is usually preferred because of optical and technical reasons the saddlecloth in everyday riding.

In contrast to the normal saddle cloth that is cut in the shape of the saddle, it has a rectangular blank, which is usually longer than the saddle. This makes it possible not to install the saddle covert lettering as the initials of the rider, the horse's name, the branding, the club or sponsors logo.
