Shadow Star
Naru Taru (Japaneseなるたる) is a manga by Mohiro Kitoh, who tells despite his childish at first glance appears content a complex, dark and violent containing science fiction story with character draft. It was produced in the form of a television series and an anime.
Naru Taru is an abbreviation of the words Mukuro Naru Hoshi Tama Taru Ko (骸 なる 星·珠 たる 子), which translates to " the children bound to the dying star " means.
Action
The twelve year old Shiina Tamai lives alone with her father Shunji in an apartment. This is a pilot in the airline Motoki and is often cooked for his daughter. As every year goes Shiina in vacation on a small island with their grandparents. Their uplifting and cheerful girl would be the other children on the island again, and soon finds himself with these seaside. Although they warn the other children in front of the flow, Shiina swims to a Torii, which protrudes from the water. When she appeared there, they discovered on the seabed a cute star-shaped creature. A moment later Shiina nearly drowns.
She wakes up and finds that she must have saved the star beings. In the evening, she goes to the sea, to thank for her new boyfriend. It identifies the essence with the name Hoshimaru (Eng. " round star"). On the return flight from the island Shiina Hoshimaru outputs as a backpack. But she has no idea that he is a dragon child, a not yet fully mature bone dragon. Earth is threatened by bone dragon and several children have a close connection to their dragon children.
Akira Sakura is a shy and timid girl and also has a dragon child. Shiina Akira learns know in Kendōverein. Shiina quickly befriends despite the reluctance Akira with her. Akira is shocked when she gets Hoshimaru to face. Akira's dragon child sees Hoshimaru similar. The middle school student named him Ain Soph. This, however, locking them in a box, because it is contrary to Shiina connected with her dragon child. When Akira's dragon child flies, she feels the air as if they were floating in the air itself.
Publications
In Japan, the manga was published from March 1998 to October 2003 in individual chapters in the manga magazine Afternoon in spending 5/1998 until 12/ 2003 where series like Eden and Blame! were published. As of August 1998, published by Kodansha also twelve anthologies with the individual chapters.
In German moved Egmont Manga and Anime all twelve reams of 2001 to 2006. Though the publisher to 2500-3500 copies sold per Volume of Manga earned a profit and the sixth band had to be censored because of brutal scenes, the series was not canceled. However, the individual volumes were published in semi-annual to annual basis.
Also in other countries appeared Naru Taru, but was very often adjusted after a few volumes. In France, the manga published Glénat 1999-2000, an adjustment was made, however, because of the violent scenes in the sixth volume after the first two volumes. In the U.S., Naru Taru appeared under the name Shadow Star.
Filming
From July to September 2003 produced the TV channel Kids Station an anime named Naru Taru - Mukuro Naru Hoshi Tama Taru Ko, based on the first six volumes of the manga. Again, this starts very innocent and turns in the course of the action, even though it was broadcast on Kids Station, than for children rather unsuitable out. The anime consists of 13 episodes and also appeared in the USA.

The manga was in 2004 nominated German -language comic publication, import for the Max and Moritz Prize in the category best, but could not prevail against Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis itself.
