Shag (tobacco)
Shag (pronounced ʃɛk " Schaek " ), Shagtabak, fine cut tobacco, fine cut, Wuzeltabak or rolling tobacco referred finely cut, sometimes gesoßten ( with liquid flavor soaked ) tobacco. Due to its cut it burns relatively quickly and is therefore used for cigarettes. Commercially available Shag is now used mostly for self- producing ( "Rotate" ) cigarettes. As loose tobacco he is charged is comparatively low by the tobacco tax, so that a self- rolled cigarette is cheaper than a ready-made.
Previously Shag was also smoked in a pipe, preferably in the so-called shag pipes with relatively low and round heads; today drag pipe smokers usually before special pipe tobaccos.

- Light Shag ( Dutch "brighter Shag " ): very bright tobacco with rather mild taste to find more and more often lately, and popular, especially among young smokers.
