Shah Deniz gas field
Shah Denis ( Azerbaijani Şahdəniz ) is the largest gas field in Azerbaijan. It is part of BP ( 25.5%), Statoil ( 25.5%), SOCAR (10%), Total ( 10%), LukAgip (10%), Oil Industries Engineering & Construction ( OIEC ) (10 %) and Türkiye Petrolleri ( Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Ltd. ) ( 9%). The gas is transported via the South Caucasus Pipeline, the condensate via the Baku -Tbilisi -Ceyhan pipeline.
Geology
The field is located at a depth of 600 m and extends over 860 km2. 2005 7 billion m3 of gas per day were produced.
