Shallum of Israel
Shallum (Hebrew שלום ) was briefly King of Israel. His reign is to the year 745 BC ( Albright ) or 752 BC ( Thiele ) dated.
The report in 2 Kings 15 According came Shallum the son of Jabesh, to power by overthrowing Zechariah after he had reigned only six months. But Shallum was only a month king in Samaria, until he was overthrown and murdered by Menahem the son of Gadi.
