Shalom Dov Wolpo

Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo (also Sholom Ber Wolpe; * 1948 ) is an Israeli journalist and Chabad - Lubavitch rabbi.

Life

Shalom Dov Wolpo founded SOS Israel a militant Israeli Jewish movement, rejecting the land concessions to the Palestinians. He thinks Eretz Israel, the land of Israel, is inviolable, forbidden land concessions to the Palestinians from halachic reasons and because of the principle of Greater Israel. Therefore, on 11 November 2008, he founded the Party of Eretz Jisra'el Shelanu in Israel.

He wrote more than 40 books in Hebrew, mostly also to halachic issues and Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
