Shammond Williams

Shammond Omar Williams ( born April 5, 1975 in Bronx, New York ) is an American professional basketball player. He is 185 cm tall and plays at the position of the point guards.

Career

In college, Williams played four years for the Tar Heels of the University of North Carolina and reached the prestigious team in three of four seasons the Final Four tournament for the NCAA Men 's Division I Basketball Championship but without being able to win a championship. In NBA Draft 1998, he was gedrafted to 34th by the Chicago Bulls and changed without a game for the Bulls to have denied to the Atlanta Hawks. After three games with the Hawks, he had a short contract with Ülkerspor in the Turkish Basketball League, but returned in the summer of 1999, back in his home country and got a contract with the Seattle SuperSonics. After three seasons, he played from 2002 nor for the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Hornets and Orlando Magic.

In 2004 he moved to Europe and played for the Russian club UNICS Kazan. During this time he participated in the Georgian citizenship and was on his second home international. In 2005 he went to Winterthur FC Barcelona. In 2006 he returned to the NBA and played for the Los Angeles Lakers. A year later, the Guard moved the Spanish league again and initially played two seasons in Valencia and in the season 2009/10 for Unicaja Málaga and CB Murcia.

In May 2010, he was the top Italian club and series champion Mens Sana Siena committed for a month without disputing a game ultimately for the club. He then worked without a contract, in December 2010, he was faced with a commitment by the Turkish first division club Oyak, but was eventually taken in 2011 by Apollon Limassol in the Cypriot under contract. After the championship end in Cyprus he played from March 2011 even in Italy, where he this time for Sutor Basket from Montegranaro actually still eight games played.
