Shamo Chickens are a primitive breed gamefowl from Siam and were introduced in 1953 from Japan to Germany. The race itself is much older. In Europe, this chicken was under the name Shamo his Beudeutng - the translation is mutatis mutandis fighter and battle chicken.

Shamos are large, almost perpendicular Gamefowl with angular physique. The neck is bent very long and bold, the back straight. The fletching is scarce and hard. On the short broad head, there is a pea comb. The eye is perlfarbig and scowling.

Economically, this breed has no meaning, despite the high slaughter weight of 3 kg or more. It is heutzugtage a pure breed poultry.

Shamos are often referred to in the breeding of small animals as the " king class " among the chickens. The animals are difficult to keep, very aggressive and its heavy weight makes a brood without crushed eggs almost impossible, although the nesting instinct in most hens is available.

This gamefowl breed has retained its primeval essence. The animals are very aggressive towards strange species and it is therefore almost impossible to integrate into an existing master foreign animals without fighting. The cocks fight without discount and to the bitter end. The hens have an aggressive article
