Shane Williams

Shane Mark Williams, MBE ( born February 26, 1977 in Morriston, Swansea ) is a Welsh rugby union player who is used to the position of the outer three- quarter. He is active for the Welsh rugby union team and the Ospreys. Sometimes it was used as a compound semiconductor and scrum half.
Career
In his youth, Williams first played at Amman United RFC and Neath RFC later when, where he acted on a variety of positions. He became known with whom he often breaks primarily for his "Side Steps" at high speed through the enemy ranks.
His attempts against Italy, Scotland and England in the Six Nations in 2005 were the basis for the Grand Slam of the Welsh this year. Due to its consistently good performance he was nominated for the tour of the British and Irish Lions in the same year and came to two inserts.
During the 2007 World Cup he scored five tries, including two against Japan. So he overtook in the statistics of the Welsh player with the most trials, the legend Ieuan Evans and was now just behind Gareth Thomas. With the two tests against Scotland in the Six Nations 2008 Williams managed to climb to 12th in the international list of the most successful players. He shares this place with Jonah Lomu, former star of the All Blacks. In this tournament, he scored a total of six experiments, and thus the most of all players. Consequently, he overtook Gareth Thomas and is now the Welsh players with most experiments of all time. Later in the season he won the EDF Energy Cup with the Ospreys next to the Grand Slam in the Six Nations too.
In May 2008, Williams led a Welsh selection, played against a world selection. His team-mate Justin Marshall took over as head of the opponent. He was elected Player of the Year by the International Rugby Board this year. On 21 April 2009, he was nominated by Ian McGeechan for the tour of the British and Irish Lions to South Africa.
Williams has been married since December 23, 2005, his childhood sweetheart Gail Lacey, whom he had already met with 14 in the school. Their first child Georgie came on 8 November 2006 to the world.
