Shanice
Shanice Lorraine Wilson ( born May 14, 1973 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ) is a Grammy-nominated American R & B singer. It is usually referred to simply as " Shanice ". Their single I Love Your Smile was their biggest success in the late fall of 1991. Furthermore, she had five more Billboard Hot 100 singles, for example, Saving Forever You end of 1992.
Life and career
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Shanice Wilson played eight years in a Kentucky Fried Chicken advertising along with Ella Fitzgerald. In 1983, Shanice took part in the new U.S. TV show Star Search. This talent show she won at the age of ten years. Then A & M Records noticed her and she got a record deal. Her first solo album Discovery was published in 1987 by the record label. It was not a big hit, but she made known and brought her a nomination for Best Newcomer at "Soul Train" line, but this did not lead to an award. In 1991, she signed a recording contract with Motown Records. This appeared in the same year album Inner Child included beside her hit I Love Your Smile also a cover of Minnie Ripertons Hit Loving You. This song and others like Fly Away brought their arts in the coloratura soprano revealed. In 1993 she played a guest role in the television sitcom Family Matters.
After I Love Your Smile Shanice attempted more albums, for example, in 1999, Shanice. Although she had not the same success with their later albums, she is recognized as a talented singer and her songs are already represented on many soundtracks. It is also background singer for various artists: among other things, she sang the upper choir voice on Toni Braxton's hit " Unbreak My Heart".
On 14 February 2000 Shanice married actor and comedian Flex Alexander, with whom she has two children.
The first single from the new album Every Woman Dreams was released in June 2005, the album even came on 21 February 2006 on the market. In the first week of 6000 copies were sold. The album was released under his own record label Imajah, which was named after her children.
