Shannon (American singer)

Shannon is the stage name of American singer Brenda Shannon Greene ( born 2 May 1958 in Washington DC).

Greene grew up in Brooklyn, N. Y. and was at the age of 20 years as a singer, member of the New York Jazz Ensemble. The hit Let the Music Play from 1983 gave her commercial breakthrough as Shannon. The next single Give Me Tonight reached middle chart positions. By 1986, followed by other plates, which brought it to the part in the dance, and lower regions of the R & B and pop charts. Then she lost her recording contract and only in recent years she made with occasional publications again attracted attention.
