Shannon Tweed

Shannon Lee Tweed ( born March 10, 1957 in St. John's, Newfoundland) is a Canadian actress and model.

Life

Tweed is the daughter of Nerzfarmers and grew up on the farm in Whitbourne, Newfoundland with six siblings. After visiting the Mount Royal Collegiate in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she took a young age participating in beauty pageants and in 1977 Miss Ottawa Valley and then reached the fourth place in the competition for Miss Canada.

After she was elected in November 1981 for the " Playmate of the Month" and 1982, the " Playmate of the Year" by the magazine Playboy, she began with a total of 21 appearances in the television series Falcon Crest her acting career. Overall, she has appeared in over 60 film productions, mainly in the low-budget sector, but also in numerous television series, including Frasier, Cagney & Lacey, LA Law - by The Lifeguard - Star lawyers, tricks, processes, 21 Jump Street - Tatort classroom, Baywatch Malibu and Married with Children participated.

She is since 1986 the partner of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons, with whom she has two children. Since October 1, 2011 she is married to him. In 2006, she played in the Simmons -produced, 57 -part docu-soap Family Gene Simmons Family Jewels with, as in 1999, produced by his film Detroit Rock City.

Her younger sister, Tracy ( born May 10, 1965), is also an actress. They played together in the film Night Eyes 3, and appeared together in several issues of Playboy.
