Shao Jiayi

Shao Jiayi ( Chinese:邵佳一, Shao Jiayi ) ( born April 10, 1980 in Beijing, China) is a Chinese football player.

Career

Shao is a versatile attacking midfielder. He began his professional career with Beijing Guoan in China. In 2002 he moved for 1.3 million euro transfer fee to Germany for TSV 1860 München. There he was at first mostly off the bench, but developed more and more first-team regular and was in season 2005/ 06 at 25 of the 34 games of the season on the field. Since the lions but were in financial troubles and Shao was one of the top earners at the club, his contract was not renewed. He changed free transfer to Energie Cottbus. Shao also completed some games for the national team of China, including the AFC Asian Cup 2004, where he scored three goals in six games. Then lost the final against the hosts China Japan with 1:3.

On 9 May 2011 MSV Duisburg announced the commitment of Shao. Shao signed a two-year contract until 30 June 2013 with connection option and a free transfer. On December 13, 2011 Shao signed a contract with Beijing Guoan.

Shao Jiayi is married and has one child.
