Shapur ibn Sahl

Shapur ibn Sahl ( Sabur ibn Sahl also, lived in the 9th century ) was a Persian Christian physician, who worked at the Academy of Gundischapur.

He was the author of several medical books. He wrote one of the first medical books on antidotes, also known under the title Aqrabadhin, in 22 volumes. This book enjoyed a high popularity, until it was supplanted by Ibn al - Tilmidhs book from the first half of the 12th century.
