Shari Lewis

Shari Lewis ( born January 17, 1933, New York City; † August 2, 1998 in Los Angeles ) was an American puppeteer and ventriloquist. During her more than 40 - year career in television Lewis has won several Emmys.

Life

Lewis was born in 1933 in New York, the daughter of Jewish couple, Abraham and Ann Hurwitz. Abraham Hurwitz was a very well-known in New York magician.
