Sharktopus is an American low-budget TV movie from the year 2010. First time the film 25 September 2010 was broadcast by U.S. television channel Syfy.

Action

The U.S. Navy commission, also known as " Blue Water ", is commissioned to construct an animal, half is half shark octopus for combat genetically. During a demonstration, which is to distribute dealer of Santa Monica, the animal escapes the control of its creator and controlled directly Puerto Vallarta. Hunted by the group " Blue Water " and a television crew, the monster attacks numerous beach visitors. Ultimately destroy Andy Flynn and Nicole beach Sharktopus after it has the father of Nicole and the creator of Sharktopus, Dr. Nathan Strands killed.

Publication

The Blu- ray Disc and DVD are published in the United States on March 15, 2011.

Reception

Sharktopus has received an overwhelmingly negative feedback, which is due to five reviews of film critics of the Rotten Tomatoes page.

Continuations

In August, a sequel to the film was to dreadcentral.com announced in the Sharktopus against " Pteracuda " - an animal that is half pterodactyl, half barracuda - and should such stars as Robert Carradine fight. In the second, previously announced sequel, vs. Sharktopus. Mermantula is Sharktopus, fight against a monster which partly man and partly Piranha tarantula is part. Both films are currently in production.
