Sharon Stouder (1965 )

Sharon Marie Stouder ( born November 9, 1948 in Altadena, † June 23, 2013 ) was an American swimmer.

At 15, she won three gold medals at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. She won the 100m butterfly and the 4 × 100-meter freestyle relay and the 4 × 100-meter medley relay. In addition, she won the 100m freestyle silver medal. About 100 m freestyle, she was the second swimmer ever to swim under 1 minute. She swam world records over 100 m butterfly, 200 m butterfly and the 4 × 100-meter medley relay. In 1972, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
