Sharp County, Arkansas

The Sharp County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Ash Flat. The county is one of the Dry counties, which means that the sale of alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

History

2000 2010

The Sharp County was formed on July 18, 1868 from parts of Lawrence County. It was named after Ephraim Sharp, a member of the government of Arkansas and Representative of the Lawrence, Randolph and Greene County.
