Sharuhen

Sharuhen was in ancient times the name of a city in Retjenu. She lay on the present territory of Israel, about 20 km west of Be'er Sheva.

History

At the beginning of the Egyptian 18th Dynasty, when Ahmose I began the expulsion of the Hyksos Kamose continued playing Sharuhen a special strategic role.
