Shaun Bartlett

Shaun Bartlett Thurston ( born October 31, 1972 in Cape Town ) is a South African football player who last played for Bloemfontein Celtic.

Career

Shaun Bartlett began his career in the youth from Vasco Da Gama. In 1992 he moved to Ajax Cape Town and played there until 1995. In 1996 he moved to the Major Soccer League with the Colorado Rapids, where he scored nine goals in 36 games. In 1997, he had a guest appearance for half a year at the NY / NJ MetroStars. He then played a year on loan to his old club Ajax Cape Town. In 1998 joined the Swiss club FC Zurich. Until 2000, he graduated from 77 matches and scored 38 goals. In 2000 he moved for one year on loan to English club Charlton Athletic. This year, he played 18 games, scored seven goals and it was bought for £ 2 million from Charlton Athletic.
