Shaun Donovan

Shaun Donovan ( born January 24, 1966 in New York City ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. He is the Minister of Construction in the cabinet of U.S. President Barack Obama.

Donovan studied at Harvard University. There he earned master's degrees in public administration at the John F. Kennedy School of Government as well as in architecture at the Graduate School of Design. He then worked for the Community Preservation Corporation of New York, a non-profit organization that promoted the construction of affordable houses. During the presidency of Bill Clinton, he was already working as Under Secretary of State ( Deputy Assistant Secretary ) for the Ministry of Public Works, where he was responsible for the multi-family homes. During this time he was also acting director of the Federal Housing Administration.
