Shaun Sutter

Shaun Sutter ( born June 2, 1980 in Red Deer, Alberta ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player and current coach, who in during his active career, among other things for the Saint John Flames and Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League, the Lusatian foxes 2nd hockey league and has for the HC Alleghe played in the Serie A1. His father Brian was as professional hockey player like many other members of his family.

Career

Shaun Sutter began his career as a hockey player in the Western Hockey League, where he from 1997 to 2001 for the Lethbridge Hurricanes Medicine Hat Tigers and Calgary Hitmen was active. During this time, he was selected by the Calgary Flames in the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the fourth round as a total 102 players for whom, however, he never played. Instead, the attacker was from 2001 to 2003 for their farm teams. Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League as well as the Johnstown Chiefs of the East Coast Hockey League on the ice It was followed by two seasons in the ECHL with the Florence Pride and Fresno Falcons, where he also ran aground in the season 2004/ 05 in two games for the Lowell Lock Monsters in the AHL.

From 2005 to 2008 Sutter played in the British Elite Ice Hockey League for the Nottingham Panthers, Sheffield Steelers and Belfast Giants. He also finished the 2005/06 season in the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan in Nyköping hockey. The 2008/09 season began the Canadians in the Lusatian foxes in the 2nd Bundesliga, the game time he finished the HC Alleghe in the Italian Serie A1. After completion of the 2009/10 season Sutter ended his playing career and was an assistant coach with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League.
