Shave horse

A scavenger bank or pulling horse, sometimes called Schnitzel buck or peasant carpenter's bench, is a special workbench with a per foot to be supported clamp function for the workpiece. It is commonly used for woodworking with pull knives and the like, for example, of coopers to Beschnitze ( l) s of barrel staves or spokes of wheel makers for car use. Schnitzel banks have largely disappeared from use since the Industrial Revolution.
