The Shawnee Township is one of 10 townships in Cape Girardeau County in the southeast of the U.S. state of Missouri.

Geography

The Shawnee Township is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois. The mouth of the Ohio at Cairo at the interface of the states of Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky is located around 90 km south-east.

The Shawnee Township is located at 37 ° 30'54 " north latitude and 89 ° 36'51 " west longitude and extending over 239.21 km ², spread over 234.05 km ² land and 5.16 km ² water surface.
