Shay Brennan

Seamus Anthony Brennan Nickname: Shay ( born May 6, 1937 in Manchester, † 9 June 2000) was an Irish football player.

Life and career

The greatest strength of the former defender was his foray from his own half in the opponent. His first race for Manchester United was the Irishman 1958 against Sheffield Wednesday. 1965 and 1967 he was English with the Red Devils champion. He was also Champion Clubs' Cup winner with Manchester United in 1968. Although Brennan was actually born in England, he played with the help of FIFA for the Irish national football team. He finished his career after 355 games and six goals for Manchester United. His final game was on 14 August 1986. The Shamrock Rovers played against Manchester United and won 2-0.
