Shannon Ashley " Shay " Mitchell ( born April 10, 1987 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian actress and model.

Life and career

Shay Mitchell was born on 10 April 1987 in Toronto, Ontario, the daughter of an Irish- Scottish father and a Filipino mother. Mitchell has worked as a model in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Barcelona. She then returned to Toronto to study acting. She got roles in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation, Aaron Stone, and Rookie Blue, also Mitchell was booked for several commercials.

Since 2010 she plays the role of Emily Fields in the U.S. television series Pretty Little Liars. Since 2011, Shay Mitchell occurs as a model for Pantene hair shampoo.
