Life
Sheena Easton graduated from the " Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama ." With the produced by the BBC program "The Big Time " ( Esther Rantzen ) they made the breakthrough in England. From her audition for EMI Records exist on a HMV Easy sampler three shots ( I've Got the Music in Me, Feelings and You Light up My Life ). Their first single Modern Girl was a moderate hit. The single 9 to 5 in 1980 was a huge hit, stayed for two weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. charts and was Sheena Easton's greatest success. 1981 contributed Easton For Your Eyes Only the title song to the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only ( Original title: For Your Eyes Only ) in. He was nominated for an Oscar.
Your musical highlights were the albums A Private Heaven ( 1984) and The Lover in Me ( 1988), for each Prince composed some songs. She also sang a few songs with him in the duet, eg U Got the Look (1987) and The Arms of Orion (1989). Both composed for the 1989 album Be Yourself by Patti Labelle the title Love '89. 1982 and 1985 could Easton recorded a Grammy Award. In 2004, she was honored in the " Las Vegas Casino Legends Hall of Fame".
Musically, it was silent since 2000 ( Fabulous ) about the singer. However, it sometimes occurs at Gay Pride events and music festivals. In Germany it has become known primarily for her guest role on Miami Vice on the side of Don Johnson. In 2008 she appeared for the first time out of the United States.
In 1979, she married Sandi Easton. The marriage lasted only eight months, but Orr kept the name Sheena Easton. Since 1992 she has U.S. citizenship. Easton adopted in 1994 a boy (Jake ) and 1996 a girl ( Skylar ). Even their marriages with Rob Light (1984 ), Tim Delarm (1996 ) and John Minoli (2003) went after only a few months apart. Sheena Easton is as a producer of collectible dolls and as a business woman extremely successful and is considered one of the richest women who come from Scotland.
