Sheetal Sheth

Sheetal Sheth (* June 24, 1976 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Sheth studied acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and took during this time participated in a theater workshop in Amsterdam. She made her debut in a major role in the film drama ABCD (1999), which won a special prize of the festival WorldFest Houston in 2000. She took a greater role in the comedy American Chai (2001), who got the 2001 Audience Award at the Slamdance Film Festival.

In the comedy Indian Cowboy ( 2004) Sheth played one of the two lead roles. In the film drama Dancing in Twilight (2005) she was seen in a major role opposite Mimi Rogers. In the film drama The Hidden World (2007), she took alongside Lisa Ray one of the two lead roles. She played a woman who maintains a lesbian relationship in South Africa during apartheid. Both actresses we see again a lesbian couple is in the Drama I Can not Think Straight, whose release is planned in November 2008 (October 2008).
