The Scheksna (Russian Шексна [ ʃɪksna ] ) is a left tributary of the Volga River in northwestern Russia (Northern Europe).

Description

The river rises in the western Vologda Oblast in the White Sea. South of the Sea, the river divides to Rybinsk Reservoir the course of the Volga - Baltic Canal. In her dam water is taken from the Volga.
