The Schelon (Russian Шелонь ) is one of the main tributaries of the Ilmensee in Northwest Russia.

The 248 km long river has its source in the Everglades to the east of Pskov Oblast. From there it flows predominantly in a northerly direction, then in an easterly direction in the Novgorod Oblast and flows Shimsk on the west bank of the Ilmensee in these. The catchment area of ​​Schelon includes large parts of the Ilmenniederung and is 9710 km ². The cities Porkhov, Solzy and Dedowitschi are at the riverbank of Schelon.
