Shelter is an American film made in 2007 by Jonah Markowitz.

Content

Zach is an emerging artist who gave up studying at an art school his dream to take care of his family. This consists of his sick father, his sister Jeanne and their five year old son Cody. In his spare time, surfs, paints or Zach meets with his best friend or his gift " Every now and then " girlfriend Tori.

When Gabe's older brother Shaun temporarily returns home, he and Zach become friends. Shaun support Zach, do not just give up his dreams and another time to apply at the School of Art. The pure friendship develops into a love relationship further. Jeanne warns Zach that Shaun is gay when she learns that both spend much time together. Production

Shelter was filmed in 21 days, mostly in San Pedro and Laguna Beach, California, and embellished with additional shooting in Bel Air and Malibu, California. A visual focal point that runs through the film, the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles Harbor.

The artwork, which is shown in the film is the work of artist Ryan Graeff from LA, whose street art can be seen throughout the region.

In the soundtrack occurs, among other things, the singer and songwriter Shane Mack from Nashville.
