Shemar Moore

Shemar Franklin Moore ( born April 20, 1970 in Oakland, California) is an American actor.

Biography

Moore was born in Oakland, California, the son of an African- American father and a white mother. At the beginning of the seventies still strong reservations about mixed-race relationships were felt in the United States. His mother raised him alone and wanted to see him grow up in a less racist environment. She went with him overseas and taught mathematics and English there.

Moore lived in many places. The first six years of his life Moore abroad. By the age of three years he lived in Denmark, after three years in Bahrain. As a toddler, he spoke Danish. He learned English until he was five or six years old. His mother sent him to facilitate the possibility of returning to the U.S. it on a British private school.

At the age of about seven years, Moore returned with his mother in their hometown of Boston back, then moved to Chico, California, and then to Palo Alto, California, where he spent much of his high school years.

The formerly working as a fashion model Emmy Award - winner is best known for the role of Malcolm Winters on the soap opera Young and the Restless as well as the Soul Train series. Since 2005, he is seen as Agent Derek Morgan in the television series Criminal Minds.
