Shenbei New Area
The new city district Shenbei (沉 北新区), English Shenbei New District, is a municipality of the province of Shenyang City in the north of China's Liaoning Province, in southern Manchuria.
Shenbei has an area of 1098 km ² and has about 400,000 inhabitants ( end of 2011). After Qapqal Shenbei across China has the second highest population share of Xibe, an ethnic minority that is closely related to Manju.
Administrative Divisions

On 29 December 2010 the last large communities, municipalities and nationality communities Shenbeis had been converted to road district. Economy
The active development of the business location began in 2006 with the decision of the city government to create the new municipality Shenbei. After the major economic regions of Shenzhen and Pudong (Shanghai) Shenbei now is actively promoted by the government in Beijing with a program called " Revitalize Northeast China " as a new economic zone. It is a national program to establish new industries in an ecologically exemplary environment. The municipal government of Shenyang expects that the new city district Shenbei will have in about ten years a million inhabitants and a fully developed economy.
The municipality has been developed according to the planners of the latest ecological criteria and has, besides economic areas numerous parks and recreation areas on. These include the River Liao He and the Huishan forests. 40 percent of the total land area is green, another eight percent of the area is covered by water.
In recent years, a significant for the economy industry cluster has developed around Shenyang / Shenbei, provides the space for the colonization of other companies. So far, around 4,000 companies based in the new city district Shenbei.
The heavy industry, which was represented in the Greater Shenyang since 1920 has given way in recent years, the software, automotive and electrical industries. The China Medical University in Shenyang is an established since 1931 specialized university with over 8,000 students. On a campus area of over 1.9 million square meters, all medical schools are offered. The China Medical University is associated with 25 partner universities in the USA, Canada, France, Japan and Korea.
