Shepway

Shepway is a District in the county of Kent in England. Council is based in Folkestone; significant sights are Elham, Hythe, New Romney, Lydd and Sandgate. In Cheriton is the portal of the Euro tunnel.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the boroughs Folkestone, Hythe, Lydd and New Romney and the Rural Districts Eltham and Romney Marsh.
