Sher Afghan Quli Khan

Ali Quli, later Sher Afghan ( † 1607) was the first man of multi -un -Nisa, who later became the Mughal Empress Nur Jahan.

History

Ali Quli, a cupbearer of the Persian Shah and later soldier who fled from Persia to the court of Akbar of India. In order to integrate him in India, Akbar decided to marry him to the daughter of another Persian refugee. After multi -un -Nisa by Akbar's order was (probably at the request of the Mughal Empress ) married in 1594, he supported the project, a grandson of Akbar before his father ( Jahangir ) to bring to the throne, as this against him the father ( Akbar ) had provided. Importance

The importance of Sher Afghan for the story lies mainly in the fact that the future Empress Nur Jahan was married to his first wife, with a traitor, even if she was forced into this marriage.
