Sheringham is a small town on the North Norfolk coast in England, in the district of North Norfolk. In 2001 it counted 7143 inhabitants.

Originally, the community Sheringham from the two villages of Upper Sheringham, Sheringham Lower. In Upper Sheringham agriculture was mainly operated in right on the coast lying Lower Sheringham agriculture and fishing.

The German twin town of Sheringham is the Lower Saxony Ottersdorf.

The polar explorer Ernest Shackleton lived in the period between the Nimrod Expedition (1907-1909) and the Endurance Expedition (1914-1917) with his family in Sheringham.
