Sherlock Yack
Sherlock Yack - the Zoodetektiv (French Sherlock Yack - Zoo Detective ) is a Franco- German animated series, based on the written by Michel Amelin and Colonel Moutarde children's book series of the same name. The 2011 produced series currently consists of one season with 52 episodes. The first German broadcast took place at KiKA.
Content
Sherlock Yack is both director and detective of a zoo, which is inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. Find a crime instead, he makes himself immediately with his young assistant Hermione to educate the case. There are usually between three suspects, but in some cases, a fourth case. Are all the facts together, Sherlock told the audience again the Tatverlauf and shows the suspects before he unmasks the culprit. Murders and firearms do not come into the series before though.
Main characters
Sherlock Yack: Sherlock is a Yak, who can look back on a long training in a lamasery. While he can often be distractions, but he's always focused and know that every little thing for the elucidation of a case can be useful. He plays bagpipes, which was a gift from his old teacher, the vulture Abrakadaverus.
Hermione: Sherlock's assistant is a young ermine, which as best I can support him in his cases. Hermione is fascinated by technical devices and often tries to convince Sherlock believes that its old methods are no longer valid. His piping they can not stand.
Recurring elements
- In each episode, Sherlock recalls lessons of his master Abrakadaverus.
- Is there an injured person in a case are the Zooarzt Dr. Schnabel man again an incomprehensible sounding diagnosis, he must be pretty clumsy translation.

The series was produced by Mondo TV France and ZDF Enterprises, on behalf of TF1 and ZDF. Directed by Jérôme Mouscadet.
The first broadcast took place on TF1 in France as of May 4, 2011. In Germany, the series first aired November 19, 2011 to January 28, 2012 KiKA on Saturday mornings. It always three episodes were shown in succession.
