Sherwood Schwartz

Sherwood Schwartz ( born November 14, 1916 in Passaic, New Jersey; † July 12, 2011 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American television producer and screenwriter.

Life

Sherwood Schwartz began in the early 1950s so that, writing screenplays for television series. In this role he was involved from 1954 to 1962 on 162 episodes of the series The Red Skelton Show with the popular comedian Red Skelton. Schwartz is the creator of the television series Gilligan's Island and three girls and three boys.

On 7 March 2008 he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
