Shiazo

Shiazo (also known as steam stones, Eng. Steam- stones ) is a substitute for hookah tobacco, which was developed in Germany. Shiazo consists of a porous mineral complex which absorbs glycerol and flavors, thus generating steam instead of smoke. This principle is similar to the electrical cigarette. This vapor is flavored.

Shiazo is recognized at the time not from Non smoking protection laws, but its use is recommended until the age of 16.

Legal classification

The Administrative Court in Munich has found its judgment of 5 October 2011 that the law for the protection of health is not applicable to Shiazo steam stones, and these may be so used in public spaces.

Similarly, the Higher Administrative Court of North Rhine -Westphalia has ruled on August 1, 2013, that the Non smoking protection law in Shiazo and dried fruits can not be applied, while the use of other tobacco substitutes remains prohibited in shisha cafes. Thus, there is currently no evidence that the use of Shiazo endangers the health of passive smokers.
