Shiga (Shiga)

Shiga (Japanese志 贺 町, -chō ) was a town in Shiga -gun in the Japanese prefecture of Shiga.

History

Shiga was established on October 1, 1955 from the merger of Mura Kido (木 戸 村, -mura ), Komatsu (小松 村, -mura ) and Wani (和 迩 村, -mura ).

Even before that there was the same gun a Mura same name, but in a different spelling, which was also used in the name of the gun and the prefecture of Shiga (滋 贺 村, -mura ). This Mura, however, was incorporated in 1932 in Otsu Cities.

The Machi Shiga was incorporated in Otsu Cities On 20 March 2006 also. As previously only remaining church in the Gun, this was thereupon be dissolved.
