The river Shigar ( دریائے شگر ) is located in the region of Gilgit- Baltistan in northern Pakistan. It arises from the confluence of Basha and Braldu. The Basha springs from the Chogolungma Glacier in the northwest, the Braldu comes from the east and leads the melt water of the Baltoro, Biafo and Panmah Glacier. The Shigar with a length of 62 kilometers, flows near Skardu in the Indus.
There is another river named Shigar (South ) River, which flows at Marol below Skardu the Indus River.
