Shijiazhuang (Chinese石家庄 市/石家庄 市, pinyin Shijiazhuang Shi ) is the capital of Hebei province of the People's Republic of China. The administrative area of the prefecture-level city has an area of ​​15,848 km ² and approximately 9.77 million inhabitants ( end of 2009).

Others

The city was founded in 1925, formally declared the city on 7 October 1939 at that time under the name Shimen (石门). On December 26, 1947, the city was renamed in Shijiazhuang. Xibaipo - an important place of Chinese revolution - in the liberation war was the seat of the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The between 1986 to 1993, built over the years, about 270 km long highway, which connects Shijiazhuang to Beijing, was the first major Chinese highway project.
