Shin Saimdang
Shin Saimdang (* October 29, 1504 in Gangneung, † May 17, 1551 in Paju ) was a Korean painter, poet and philosopher of the Joseon Dynasty. She was the mother of Yi I.

Honor
Shin Saimdang is the first and only woman that is mapped to a Korean bank note. The introduction of this was controversial in Korea. It is also the banknote with the highest value ( 50,000 won ).
