Shinshokukokin Wakashū

Shinshokukokin Wakashū ( Japanese:新 続 古今 和 歌集also:新 続 古今 集Shinshoku Kokinshu, dt as New continued collection of ancient and modern poems ) is a waka anthology commissioned by Emperor Go - Hanazono ( 1419-1470 ) in order and about 1439 was completed. The compiler of the anthology was Asukai Masayo ( 1254-1332 ). The anthology includes 20 rolls with a total of 2,144 Waka. The preface to the anthology wrote Ichijō Kanera. This waka anthology is created on the last imperial command.
