Shire of Paroo

Geography
The Shire is located in the south of the state on the border with New South Wales about 720 km west of the capital Brisbane.
History
After researching in the 50s of the 19th century began hesitantly the colonization of the area, especially around the water point at today's Cunnamulla. 1879, the local administration of the Paroo Shire was established.
Management
The Paroo Shire Council has five members. The Mayor ( mayor) and four other Councillor shall be elected by all residents of the Shire. The LGA is not divided into electoral districts.
