Shirley Anne Field

Shirley Anne Field ( * June 27, 1938 in Bolton, Lancashire, United Kingdom as Shirley Broadbent ) is a British actress.

Shirley and her brother grew up in an orphanage. Before Shirley came to the film, the former Miss London for Pin-Up Magazine was photographed. In her first films, she was occupied due to their beauty as a decorative accessory. Michael Powell's film Peeping Tom helped her 1960 breakthrough. By 1963, she worked for well-known persons of British cinema, such as the actors Laurence Olivier and Oliver Reed and directors Tony Richardson and Joseph Losey. A trip to Hollywood was disappointing, even the British films in this period were rather second-rate.

In the 70 years, Shirley turned to the stage spectacle. In 1985 she returned to the film business, and also the same very successful. After working with Ken Russell, she moved back to America, where she acted in a soap opera (California clan ).
