Shirley Strong

Shirley Strong ( born November 18, 1958 in Northwich, Cheshire ) is a former British athlete and Olympian.

Strong won at the Commonwealth Games 1978, held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the silver medal in the 100 - meter hurdles between the two British women Lorna Boothe ( gold) and Sharon Colyear (bronze). In the Commonwealth Games 1982 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, she won the gold medal ahead of Briton Lorna Boothe (Silver ) and before the Canadian Susan Kameli (bronze).
