Shkodër Orthodox Cathedral

The Orthodox Cathedral of Christ's birth ( Alb.: Katedralja e Lindjes së Zotit ) in the northern Albanian city of Shkodra district belongs to the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.

The church building, completed in 2000, stands in the Rruga Hasan Riza Pasha at the site of a previously standing there wooden church building, which was half of August 1998 damaged by a bomb attack. The present stone building consists of a large nave with several patch domes and a separately standing tower. The grounds are completely fenced in for security reasons.
