Shock Value II
Timbaland Presents Shock Value 2 is the third solo studio album by American music producer Timbaland. It was released in Germany on December 4, 2009.
Style
Like its predecessor, Timbaland working again along with numerous known and unknown artists. The proportion of working with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake this time it is extremely reticent in limits: Each of the two is only going to listen to a track.
In the first part of Shock Value the tracks were mainly drawn from hip-hop elements. In the second part, however, outweigh pop and dance elements.
Criticism
The criticism came from very different. The page pooltrax.com praised the album and the different style diversity. The page cdstarts.de awarded only 5.5 out of 10 and complained that the quality of the album is not receiving the predecessor. The page dasding.de awarded 3/5 points.
Timbaland himself says about the album:
" It makes me very happy that I had the opportunity to take Shock Value 2. In addition, I am very proud to have such a large number of high-profile feature guests on my album. The remarkable thing is that you will hear sound technically in a kind of artists like Katy Perry, The Fray, or Brandy how she has never heard before. I show my fans not only the best of me on each track, but give the audience the opportunity to see their favorite artist in a completely different light. The album is from beginning to end unique and diverse, so I can not wait until my fans to hear the collaborations. "
Success and chart positions
The album placed, in contrast to its predecessor, very modest in the global charts.
