Shohreh Solati
Shohreh Solati ( born: Fatemeh Solati; born January 4, 1957 in Tehran ) is an Iranian singer. Shohreh is one of the most active Iranian singers of her time. After the Islamic Revolution, she continues her music career in exile and achieved recognition for her contribution to Iranian music.
Biography
Shohreh Solati was born on January 4, 1957 in a family of artists and entertainers in Tehran. Solati developed an early ( at the age of 7 years ), the interest in singing and later attended the National Iranian Music Conservatory, where she learned to sing and play the clarinet. Shohrehs first album was called Dokhtar -e- Mashreghi ( all eastern girls) and was a great success. Then Shohreh Solati also appeared in several youth magazines to be a successful starter through.
Shortly before the Revolution in 1978, Shohreh left Iran to perform in several concerts in the United States. Then she and other Iranian musicians had the opportunity not to return. Shohreh moved thus to New York and married a short time later.
In the early 1980s, Solati moved with her husband to Los Angeles. Since then, she has worked with various songwriters, composers and arrangers such as Mohammad Moqadam, Siavash Ghomeishi and Shubert Avakian and published with the help of a new album. In the songs Shohreh made clear their desire for their home. Her albums of this period include Jaan Jaan, Sedaayeh Pah and Shenidam. They also gave many concerts with Siavash Shams and Andy Madadian.
